This is a very mixed role for a chef, from classical cookery to modern dishes, the kitchen is very much looked upon as being one of the best in the care industry for Oxfordshire. We write our own menus based upon the wishes of the residents but also on what the chefs would like to have a go at or what the chefs would like to try. The sky is the limit in this environment and someone’s only limitation is their imagination.
We provide training ion all areas of catering and progression with a competitive salary, the kitchen closes at 7pm so no late nights and we can be flexible with days off.
based on a 40 hour week with no nights, no split shifts, all uniform and training provided.
Key responsibilities:
Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
Monitoring portion and waste control
