Violin player with world-renowned Scottish band, The Tannahill Weavers
I am an enthusiastic, friendly and experienced performer and teacher of traditional music for fiddle/violin, with over 10 years teaching experience. I specialise in the music of Scotland and Ireland but I have a wide taste in musical styles, including classical violin and Scandinavian music.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or returning after a break, I will tailor the lessons to suit your individual needs. The first lesson will be used for both the student and I to get to know each other, and to ascertain what it is the pupil would like to gain from the lessons. The student’s own interests will determine what direction the lessons take, as I find that that is a great way to get the best out of working together.
I teach from my home in Dennistoun and from Carlton Music Studios in central Glasgow. I am also able to travel to surrounding areas if need be.
