Visual Artist Looking for Sitters

I am a visual artist, looking for sitters to take their portrait for an upcoming project. I am planning to work with 10-12 people. The project is an ongoing series exploring ideas of consciousness and will look deeper into the following:

Our consciousness exists in a state of not being able to see ourselves

Where do we sit within the wider reflection of the exterior

What would a portrait look like of your internal state

Or the parts of yourself we cannot see through our normal human vision

Using visual arts and technology to capture parts of ourselves usually hidden from us

Through observation, experience and intersubjective embodiment

Looking to work with people throughout March, sittings will take up to an hour at a venue of your choice (in London). They will involve a short casual chat about the themes above before I take your portrait, this will be through photography and video.

I will then look to editing the photo using a combination of digital post production, 3D and animation techniques. The portraits will be used for non-commercial use only, but I will ask you to sign a model release form. As they may be used for exhibitions and throughout social media platforms.

If you are interested please send me a short paragraph (max 200 words) stating why you would like your portrait taken and your response to the themes above by February 28th 5pm.

Unfortunately, at this time I cannot offer payment, but I will give you a print and digital copy of the final portrait. Also if you would like your portrait taken for any other reason, I am also happy to send your the unedited photographs.
